When you see the Rogue and the Rogue Sport side-by-side, you can immediately see that the Rogue Sport is smaller, and that is the idea. The original Rogue is 184.5 inches long and stands 68.1 inches tall, while the Rogue Sport is 172.4 inches long and stands 62.5 inches tall. Aside from actual measurements, there are other differences in the appearance as well. The rear window is a bit narrower on the Rogue Sport than the original Rogue, and the facade of the Rogue Sport has a smaller grille with a different overall design, a bit tighter than the aggressive face of the original Rogue.

Behind the face of the Rogue is a 2.5-liter inline 4 engine capable of 170 horsepower, while the Rogue Sport is equipped with a 2.0-liter inline 4 engine that delivers 141 horsepower. Inside, the original Rogue offers a maximum cargo capacity of 70 cubic feet, and the Rogue Sport provides a maximum cargo capacity of 61.1 cubic feet.

Now, it is important to note, these smaller numbers are all by design. The new 2017 Rogue Sport is meant to offer an alternative to drivers who would like a smaller crossover SUV model for easier maneuverability in a busy urban setting. It takes the foundation set by the original Rogue and trims it a bit to give drivers another option.
