How to Remote Start a Nissan Rogue With Your Key Fob

Activating the Nissan Rogue remote start feature is easy with your compatible Nissan Intelligent Key. First, however, you need to make sure the following criteria are met:

  • The vehicle is in a well-ventilated area within view.
  • The transmission is in “park.”
  • Your Nissan Intelligent Key is outside the vehicle.
  • Your vehicle’s doors, windows, hood, and liftgate are closed.
  • Your vehicle’s doors are locked.

Next, locate the remote start button on your key fob (represented by a circular arrow) and follow these steps:

  • Press the door lock button on your key fob. Do this even though the doors should already be locked.
  • Within five seconds, press and hold the remote start button for two or more seconds.
  • Observe that your Rogue SUV’s parking lights have turned on.

Your 2024 Nissan Rogue remote start feature has been successfully activated. The engine will automatically turn off after 10 minutes if you don’t reactivate the remote start feature using the steps above.

If you reactivate it and time runs out again, the remote start feature will not be available until you start your Nissan Rogue using the physical ignition button or switch inside the cabin.

To stop the engine, simply press and hold the remote start button while the engine is running.

Want to try this technique out for yourself? Visit Bravo Nissan and ask our team to let you practice on a Nissan Rogue for sale on our lot.

Nissan Rogue Remote Start App

Our Nissan vehicles with the remote start feature can also be controlled by the MyNISSAN app. Download the app, enroll, and connect your vehicle to start using Nissan Rogue remote start with your smart device.

A PIN will likely be required to use the remote start feature. Open the app and perform the following steps to turn on your vehicle:

  • Locate the “Start/Stop Engine” button on your phone’s screen.
  • Press and hold the “Start/Stop Engine” button for two or more seconds.

A 10-minute timer will appear on the app and start counting down. The vehicle will turn off if these steps are not repeated within 10 minutes. As with the key fob method for the Nissan remote start feature, you can stop the engine remotely by pressing the same button used to start the engine and holding it for two seconds.
